"In memory of ROBERT MAGHLIN, died 1738. | His wife HENRIETTA HICKMAN | NEPTUNE BLOOD, died 1800. | His wife ELIZABETH MAGHLIN, died 1805. | Their grandson, NEPT. BLOOD, died 1822. | His wife, | BRIDGET BLOOD, died 1846. | Her sister FRANCES BLOOD, died 1827. | Their Mother FRANCES BLOOD, died 1834. | Their Father EDWARD BLOOD, died 1842. | His son, | THOMAS died 1864. | His brother DAVID ROCHE BLOOD, died 1866."

This inscription is somewhat complicated. To explain the relationships (as it seems to me....):

Robert Maghlin and Henrietta Hickman were the parents of Elizabeth Maghlin (abt.1730-1805), and parents-in-law of Neptune Blood(abt.1730-1800).

Nept(une) Blood (abt 1750-1822) was the son of Neptune Blood and Elizabeth Maghlin.

Bridget Blood (abt.1770-1846) was the wife of Nept(une) Blood.

Frances Blood (1802-1827) was the sister of Bridget Blood.

Frances Blood (1753-1834) (nee Roche) was the wife of Edward (Maghlin)Blood (1753-1842).

Edward Blood (Edward Maghlin Blood) (1753-1842) was the son of Neptune Blood and Elizabeth Maghlin, and the brother of Nept. Blood.

Thomas Blood (1797-1864) and David Roche Blood (1792-1866) were the sons of Edward Maghlin and Frances Roche Blood.

NOTE: These relationships do not agree completely with those shown by some genealogists. Bridget Roche (b. 1793), daughter of David Roche and Frances Maunsell, is sometimes shown as having married her first cousin, Neptune Blood - this is attributed to Burkes Landed Gentry of Ireland, 1889. However, I believe that this is incorrect - the vault inscription clearly shows Neptune as the grandson of Robert Maghlin and Elizabeth Hickman, and his wife Bridget as the daughter of Frances and Edward Blood.

A note: Although the Brickhill family vault gives Bridget's death as 1846, irelandoldnews.com shows notification of her death listed as:
Clare Journal Oct 18 1849

"At her house, in Herbert-street, Dublin, after a short illness, Mrs. Blood, relict of Neptune Blood, Esq., of Brickhill, County Clare, and daughter of the late David Roche, Esq., of Carass, county Limerick"
The vault inscription mentions Bridget Blood and her sister Frances Blood, and their parents Frances and Edward Blood. Frances Blood the mother of Bridget and Frances, and the wife of Edward Maghlin Blood, was the daughter of David Roche, and I am inclined to think that the newspaper item was in error. The vault transcription could also be in error in the matter of the year of Frances' death.

I believe that Neptune Blood (d. 1822), son of Neptune Blood (d. 1800) and Elizabeth Maghlin (d. 1805), married Bridget Blood (d. 1846), daughter of Edward Maghlin Blood (d. 1842) and Frances Roche (d. 1834), and his first cousin. These six are all buried in the Blood vault at Brickhill, along with Elizabeth Maghlin's parents, and Bridget Blood's unmarried sister Frances Blood (d. 1827).
