Descended from William Blood, of Applevale (Bohersallagh), near Corofin, Co. Clare, Ireland, and Anne Blood, also of Corofin.

William and Anne were second cousins, and were both 3rd great grandchildren of Edmund Blood of Makeney.

The Fantore line is now extinct.
