<p>Descended from William Sergeant and Mary Foster, of Brigg, Lincolnshire, England.</p>

<p>William Foster Sergeant, son of William and Mary, and his wife, Catherine Gilderdale, came to South Australia with seven of their eight children aboard the "Canton", arriving on 22 May 1838<br />

<p>Ancestors of <a href="smyth-blood.shtml#smyth-blood_220" class="red">Coralie DINGLE, who married <a href="smyth-blood.shtml#smyth-blood_219" class="red">John Frederick SMYTH-BLOOD</a> on 14 Apr 1951, in Adelaide, South Australia.</p>
